I Love You
Sometimes I get stuck on trying to determine what is important. More to the point, I get stuck trying to determine what is most important. Right now, in this moment, talking to you is the most important thing in my life.
Sure, I have other things going on. We all do. I didn’t bring those things with me, though. This is our time.
There’s a lot of ugliness in the world around us. If we’re going to believe everything we’re seeing online and on the news, we’re living in turbulent times. What the 24 hour a day onslaught of doom and gloom isn’t telling you is that I love you.
Did you hear me? I said I love you.
Of course, I can’t name every single one of you. The truth is that I don’t even know who most of you are. I do know that we’re here together though. You listen to me. You know me. And, as odd as it may sound, I know you too.
We’re family, you and I. We both experience. We both feel. We both care. We both try. We both worry. We both hurt. We both get angry sometimes. We both forgive. We’re both people. We’re more each other than we’ll probably ever realize. So… I love you.
This week, I don’t have any profound realization to share with you. I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that you matter to me, and I’m thinking about you.
